Mauvy Lip Tutorial

"Mauvy", "Kylie Mauve Nude Lip", "Mauvy Nude Lip", these are all terms that have been lingering around all of social media. This lip has been my GO-TO Fall lip and I am sure it will be my GO-TO Winter lip. I love this shade because it complements any skin tone and if over drawn with taste it can make your lips appear larger, which I am sure a lot of us would love.

In order to achieve this lip I use three very inexpensive products. The first is Prestige lip liner in the color KISS, I use this one to line my lips and fill it in a little as you can see on the second photo. The second product is Milani lipliner 04 in NATURAL which I use to fill in my lips. Then I take Maybelline's 930 TRUFFLE TEASE  and finish off this Mauvy/Kylie inspired Lip. I will link all the products below incase any of you are interested in purchasing them.

I hope you all enjoyed this Tutorial. If you try it out or anything similar I would love to see it :) send it to me on instagram or twitter. You can find all my social media links down below.

DIY School Supply Case

Today I have a great DIY/Recycle idea for all your old phone cases. I few months ago my sister gave me this iphone case (which I did not like for my phone). Instead of throwing it away I decided to recycle it and use it for my school supplies. I wanted to share this amazing idea with you all since I feel like many people have similar cases just lying around at home. I Hope you all enjoy this DIY/Recycle idea. If you do this I would LOVE to see them so send them to me on twitter (@iBrendaMichelle) or tag me on instagram (@i_brendamichelle9)

Midnight Plum *Make-Up Look*

This past week I went out for a friends birthday and had this dark plum look made with the Lorac Pro Palette 2. A lot of my friends wanted me to show them how I made it therefore I decided to make a post about it.

Personally I LOVE dark looks for any night outing because it makes anyone look fierce, and adds that extra hint of glamour to any outfit. Wether it be green, blue or brown eyes a dark eye shadow suits any. Either this look or another I encourage you all to play around with different bold eye looks.

Tutorial:
1st PRIME : The Lorac Palette comes with a primer which I love but you can use any other primer.

2nd TRANSITION COLOR: I use the color "Nectar"and blend, blend, blend.

3rd CREASE COLOR: I use the color "Lt Brown" since it is somewhat of a good transition but a bit darker it does a good job of bringing the lid color into the lighter transition color.

4th LID COLOR: Take "Plum" and tap it onto your lid. Pack the color as dark as you prefer. Personally I go really dark :)

5th INNER EYE COLOR: take "Rose" and add a bit to your inner eye area.

6th BROW HIGHLIGHT: I then take "Snow" and add it under my eye brow as a highlight

Alternative
7th UNDER EYE: after adding your foundation if you would like some extra drama to your look you can take "Cocoa" and with a pencil brush add it underneath your eyes.

I Hope you all enjoyed this tutorial. If there are any other looks you would like to see please comment below. As well if you have any questions please let me know I love hearing about you all. Do you like darker eye looks or more natural looks?

Mascara Routine

Hi lovelies, I hope you all had a great Monday :) Today I am going to talk to you about my mascara routine. How I make my eye lashes look voluminous and long. It is a 5 step routine. You do not have to buy the exact products that are seen in my blog for step 1, 3, and 4 as long as it is a similar brush, the magic is the brush <3. However, for step 2, and step 4 you need that exact mascara because it is not just the brush but also the product.

1st step is to brush your lashes with any old mascara brush; brush it a couple of times just to spread your lashes.

2nd step is the Avocado Seed Oil mascara which helps grow your lashes; It really works :)

3rd step is to use the Maybelline Falsies Volume Express, The shape of the brush is really helpful in spreading out your lashes to add volume.

4th step is to add thickness with the very wet and thick brush of Rimmel Volume Flash Scandal Eyes. Add a lot of coats from this mascara this will help in the last step.

5th step is the elongating fibers. The brand seen in the picture is the one I use which is a mexican brand however you may find another american brand such as the L'oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes it does the same work. This last step adds even more volume because all the fibers that get attached to your lashes because of the previous step.

** If you are going to curl your lashes just make sure to do it after step 1**

I hope you all enjoyed this blog post. Please feel free to comment down below I would love to hear all your feedback and opinions.

Final Look :)

Facial Treatment

Hello Lovelies, I am sorry I have been gone for a while. I had a family emergency and then was very sick But I am back now :)

Today I am going to be talking to you all about my facial treatment, or basically what I do to maintain my face good and soft. There are 3 main products that I use and LOVE. The first one is the Asepxia soap which I started using about 2 months ago. It has removed a lot of blemishes on my face. What this soap does is remove all the oils and dirt in your pores which ultimately clears up your skin.
The second product is the LOREAL Youth texture perfector which I place on my face after completely washing it and making sure there is no dirt or extra oils. This product helps you have an even texture face.
The third product is what I use as a moisturizer which is the Neutrogena oil-free moisture with SPF. I really like this moisturizer because it is not too creamy and perfect for my skin. I have medium skin. My face is not to dry nor does it get extremely oily.
Something that is also very important when trying to have a clear and soft face is what your body intakes. If you are eating a lot junk food and not drinking a lot of water to cleanse your body then this will be reflected on your skin. Remember your body is your temple and you should care for it.

All the products within this post can be found at Target. The Asepxia soap costs about $5, LOREAL Youth perfector $20, Moisturizer $11.

Hopefully you girls liked this post if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to comment. I would love to hear about what you all do to keep your face clean and looking amazing :)

Cat Eye Favorites

Hi everyone, I hope you all are having a great chilly day :) (it is cold in LA :o ) Well I wanted to write this post to show you ladies one of my two recent favorite product/brush to make a cat eye or any line on your face lol The product is the Maybelline New York Eyestudio Blackest Black I love this product I bought it at Target for about 7 dollars and it does come with a brush. However, I have not used the brush it comes with because it is pretty thick. When I bought this product I also bought the elf Angled Eyeliner Brush that costs 3 dollars which I love to use because it is so thin and perfect. It feels like using a pencil but it's a brush. This is perfect for a quick everyday cat eye because it is so precise and fast. Out of all the times I have used it I have only messed up like once or twice :D

I hope you ladies like this post and if you have any questions please feel free to comment.

Toxin Release

I wanted to share this with you all because I recently began doing this. I am always looking for a way to help my body release toxins and any bad things I have been eating. Especially after Thanksgiving, I started doing some research and found this orange and lemon water. It is very easy to make and I have been drinking it for at least 3 days. You just have to slice up half an orange and half a lemon and place it in a Jar with clean drinking water and leave it in your fridge over night. You are supposed to drink it every morning before eating or drinking anything. I shall warn you that if you have been eating really bad when you first drink it you might pass gas, but then again that shows that it really does work. Releasing the toxins in your body to feel better and look better. It is one of the first steps to a beautiful you :) I hope you all enjoy this helpful Toxin Release drink. If you have any questions please post a comment. I would also love to know what you all do to release toxins in your body?

-Jar: I bought the jar in Micheals it was about 2 dollars, not bad.

"Get out there" OOTD

I am sorry I have not posted in a really long time but I have been on my school grind lol :)
Anyway I wanted to post this picture because I really liked it and I thought I would address my way of mixing any animal print item with clothing. Personally I believe that every person has there own style but the way that I like to wear, ESPECIALLY cheetah print, is with solid colors. I think it looks really good to have a statement piece, whether it be your shoes, necklace, pants, or shirt. I only like to have one statement piece. In this picture my statement piece are the cheetah Celia shoes that I am in love with! Pleas show me how you all wear cheetah shoes or any other cheetah print piece I would love to see. Thank you for reading my post. I will try to post more often. Please comment below I would love to know what you think.

Fall Favorite Nail polish

Having our nails done is something that women love. I know I do but sometimes it is very hard to go to a nail salon as often as we would like. That is why I chose my top 3 favorite nail polish brands, and colors for fall that will make any woman feel amazing and like she just came out of a session at the salon. The first nail polish is a shiny dark purple named Vernis Classique which is by Cherimoya. The second is the velvet rope from Revlon ColorStay. The third is a very dark navy blue named mesmerize from SinFulColors. I love this nail polish because it looks amazing and goes very well with the fall trends. All of these nail polishes last long and look amazing all you need is 2 coats and a clear coat to top it off and you will be looking amazing for a while :) Dark nails are a must have for Fall and these 3 brands or at the top of my list. I hope you all liked this post. If you have any other brands that you love please please comment below I would love to know and try some new brands. <3

September Monthly Favorites

I am so sorry everyone for not posting for a while but I have been a bit busy moving in and getting ready for the school year to start. This monthly favorite post is about two products that I started using at about the beginning of the month. They are amazing and I definitely recommend them to everyone. The first product is the ORS Coconut oil which I bought at Sally Beauty store. It is an organic root stimulator that softens your hair and conditions your scalp. After using this product my hair looks and feels so much more healthy. It is not an expensive product at all. You can use it for many things. The first few days I put some on at night before I slept, then in the morning I would shower that way my hair would have the opportunity to absorb the nutrients from the product. Now, after using the product for a month I put some on my tips after I shower and it helps keep my hair manageable, soft and shiny. Sometimes I also use a little on fly aways and it keeps them down. Overall this is an amazing product that I recommend to anyone that wants to have healthier and softer hair.
The second product is a new drug store foundation that I absolutely LOVE! It is the Revlon Color Stay for Normal/Dry skin. I really like it because it is not cakey and it blends in really well. I can go through the whole day with it and I feel fresh and good to go all day. I have also received many compliments on my make up and I genuinely believe it is because of this new foundation. If anyone is looking for any new foundation to try out I do recommend it. It is not full coverage but it does an amazing job. I hope you all enjoyed this post. If there are any questions or even suggestions on future posts please feel free to comment below. I would love to hear from all of you.<3

Relaxing Cabbage Bath

School is starting, or has probably started for many already. I go to UCLA and we do not start until the 26th of September :) But I really want to spend these last few days I have left relaxing before my hectic life starts up again. Something that I love doing and that really works to relax oneself is a bath of course but even better a boiled cabbage bath. This is very simple and it is something I have done my entire life. Whenever I would have a bad day in school or just seem very upset my mom would boil cabbage and prepare a bath for me. I would sit there for as long as I wanted. This helped me relax and just let go of any stressful thoughts I had. However I must warn you this bath will make you very sleepy so do not do if you have homework or anything to get done after you are done taking your bath because it will not get done. You will most definitely sleep like a baby. To prepare the bath all you have to do is boil a large pot of water (it can be sink water) and add about half a cabbage to the water. Let it boil until the cabbage is loose and soft. You can then prepare your bath as you please. At your ideal temperature. Take into consideration that you will be adding the hot water and the cabbage into the bath. You then sit in the bath for as long as you please. Read a book, listen to music, take a nap, or anything that relaxes you. I personally like to just listen to music or look at a magazine. I hope you all enjoy this relaxing cabbage bath :)

Greens and Leather [Fall trends I CANNOT wait for]

One of the top colors for this Fall is Green, any dark green or emerald like colors. I love, love, LOVE that color so I cannot wait for this trend. A piece I want in my closet is the Dark green shirt dress from Forever 21. It is so cute and comfy. Paired with a black hat, some black tights, and any style of boots (maybe brownish booties :] ) would look great :)

Another Fall trend that I am looking forward to trying is leather. I do not really wear leather much but I do really like it and I am looking forward to playing with different pieces :) One in particular that I found at Forever 21 as well is the Faux leather tights that would look great paired with a plaid shirt or even a knit sweater for colder days. Both of these pieces are not expensive. I definitely shop as if i were on a strict budget so I do recommend both of these pieces.  I hope you all enjoyed these trends I cannot wait to see what combinations everyone comes up with for fall <3

Flaxseed Orange Juice Cleanse

From a very young age I have had a very delicate stomach. I am allergic to pork and I do not eat egg or drink soda because it just kills my stomach. Meaning I will be in bed for at the least a whole day with pains. I have tried many things to help my stomach become stronger. With time I have learned that the reason my stomach is so delicate is because of the times I eat and how often I eat. I am sure many of you have heard that one is supposed to eat small portions every 3 hours, something I never did until now.  I would sometimes eat a small breakfast, a small snack during the day and then not have dinner until at around 7 or 8 at night, which lead to my stomach becoming so delicate. However thanks to my amazing mother I found a solution!  Something that I love drinking that not only cleans my entire digestive system but makes my stomach feel so much more better and stronger is flax seed with natural orange juice. I try to drink this every morning before breakfast. You can buy powder flax seed at any food market or even farmers market. For the orange juice you can either freshly squeeze your own or buy natural [real] orange juice from any grocery store. It is extremely easy to make. You just get a cup of real, natural orange juice and add 2 tablespoons of flaxseed powder into the juice and mix it. Try drinking this for a month every morning. It will definitely make you feel a lot better and since it does help with your digestion it is known to help loose weight. I hope you all enjoy this drink and it helps your over all health <3
P.S. the picture shows whole flaxseed just so you know what it looks like, but you must buy the powder flaxseed which is used for this juice :)

ion moisturizing treatment review

Hi everyone I hope you are all having an amazing day! I have been using the ion moisturizing treatment for the past 2 weeks and I really wanted to review it for you all. It is an AMAZING product. My hair was very damaged because of the salt ocean water and just other things that damage ones hair. However this treatment has made my hair feel so soft and smooth I LOVE IT <3 my ends feel so much better I am just in love with this product. The best part is that it is not expensive. Each bottle costs around 7 or 8 dollars and you can get it at any Sally Beauty stores. I definitely recommend you all try it. I hope you all enjoyed this review :)

Fashion and interviews

Getting dressed and prepped for interviews is the hardest thing I know because I live it, we all live it. That's why I thought of sharing one of my fashion and interviews experience. I recently had an interview for a new job at my university. I decided to go simple with  my hair and just straighten it. I think based on the job you are applying for your style should be different. For this interview since it was more of a serious job where I would be working a lot in an office I decided to wear black slacks (which you cannot see sorry :( however they are just regular black slacks :) ) I also decided to wear a dark burgundy simple shirt with a side v- neck (which you can see in the picture) I LOVE shirts with a twist to them it really brings attention to the piece and off course the person wearing it. To top it off I added a nice watch and some small pearl earrings to my outfit. Remember to always try to be comfortable while looking good and professional to any interview. Taking time on your physical appearance really helps boost your confidence and even boost the chances of you getting that job. I hope you all enjoyed this post. Good luck in all your future interviews <3

Natural Face Scrub

I know this might be a little late since we are somewhat at the end of summer BUT I still wanted to share this tip with all of you. This skin treatment is one that I mostly apply on my face but you can apply on your back as well if you’d like. This treatment can be used for sun burned skin. I use it when I get back from the beach just to cleanse my face and remove any dead and burned skin cells. I do this right before I get in the shower.
1st you will need a white bar of soap [I suggest white bar of soap any brand would be fine, I usually use Dove or Olay]
2nd you will get a small portion of grain sugar [not dark brown sugar nor white powder sugar] about 1 or 2 tablespoons should be enough
3rd you will throw water in your face then grab the soap and rub it on your hands until you have a good amount of soap on your hands.
4th You will then grab some sugar and place it on your hands with the sugar. Then rub it together with your hands then place it on your face and softly rub it on your face. After you are done rubbing it all over your face simply wash it off.
This treatment is somewhat of a face scrub however I have used it on sunburns on my back to remove dead and burned skin cells as well. I hope you all like and enjoy this new skin treatment.  :)

OOTD

Something that I love wearing is floral prints with a bright piece. I think it is a great contrast. Today I wore a floral shirt with a bright pink short sleeve cardigan. To top it off i put my hair in a bun for this heat. any floral print with bright piece will look amazing. The shirt was made by my mom and the cardigan was from Target. I hope you all liked the suggestion of wearing floral prints with a bright piece. <3
